Unfortunately Laranzu got some trauma on his right eye, causing him to have poor vision with this eye.
It does not seem to bother him though, he is a happy, healthy and playful boy.
When he is a bit older I will take him to an eye specialist to see if something can be done about it..
*UPDATE* January 24, 2008: I have visited drs. Heijn, eye specialist at the clinic in Oisterwijk (sorry, only in Dutch).
Laranzu's right eye has an adhesion of the conjuctiva to the lateral cornea, most likely due to an infection he
contracted at a very young age.
Laranzu is not blind in this eye, although he has poor vision with it.
Since the eyelids look normal and the eye does not
seem
to bother Laranzu,
drs. Heijn advised to wait
for Laranzu to grow up and see if something should be done about his eye in about a year.

Het bindvlies van het rechteroog van Laranzu is vastgegroeid aan het hoornvlies. Waarschijnlijk is dit gebeurd
door een infectie die hij schijnbaar al op hele jonge leeftijd heeft opgelopen.
Hij is overigens niet blind aan dat oogje,
maar ziet er wel minder goed mee. Aangezien de oogleden er verder goed uit zien, en hij verder geen last
lijkt te hebben van zijn rechteroog, adviseerde drs. Heijn om te wachten tot Laranzu uitgegroeid is, en dan
te kijken of er nog iets aan het oogje gedaan zou moeten worden.
